Random Act of Kindness #12

Every Sunday I go to church. At the church, there is an area where you can light a candle,   make a wish or say your prayer, but you have to make an offering to do that. I know that other people love to light candles but not have any money. So, as a random act of kindness, I left a bag that contained $1 and a note. It said “Light a candle and say your prayer. Please enjoy this random act of kindness.”

I started my random act of kindness on 12/12/12. Today is my 12th random act of kindness, it is the day before Christmas Eve. I hope, somehow, I was able to inspire some of you to do some random acts of kindness. May the spirit of Christmas be with you all throughout the year.

Random Act of Kindness #10

Today is a day full of giving and sharing. This morning, my friend and I were on our way to school. Suddenly, she realized she forgot to bring $2 for the Christmas party. The money is for her to eat pizza. So, I gave her $2. I felt really good doing that.

I also brought cookies and goodie bags for all my classmates and presents for my teachers.

My teacher gave everyone in class nice presents.

My brothers have done something really nice too. When they were driving home from school, they saw a teacher at their school sitting at a bus stop. He is a Special Ed teacher and he also inspects every student’s backpack as they enter the school to make sure the students don’t have a weapon or anything dangerous. Anyway, my brothers got out of the car, ran to the bus stop and gave that teacher a Starbucks’ gift card. The teacher doesn’t even know them but he said thank you and he said he appreciates it.

I have two weeks off of school and it starts now! I’m sad that I won’t be able to see my friends for two weeks but I know it’s going to be a fun Christmas.

Look at what my teacher gave to me.

Random Act of Kindness #7

I would like to share with you my point of view on the Connecticut shooting that happened on Friday when 20 kids and 6 adults died at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

I honestly think that it was truly sad. I’m sure the parents of those who have died are heartbroken so I hope they feel better soon.

For my random act of kindness #7, I would like to say a prayer for those who have died on Friday.

Dear God,

Please bless the souls of the little kids Charlotte Bacon, Daniel Barden, Olivia Engel, Josephine Gay, Ana Marquez-Greene, Dylan Hockley, Madeleine F. Hsu, Catherine Hubbard, Chase Kowalski, Jesse Lewis, James Mattioli, Grace McDonnell, Emilie Parker, Jack Pinto, Noah Pozner, Caroline Previdi, Jessica Rekos, Avielle Richman, Benjamin Wheeler, and Allison Wyatt. Also bless the adults who sacrificed their lives for the kids. Rachel Marie D’Avino, Dawn Hochsprung, Anne Marie Murphy, Lauren Rousseau, Mary Sherlach, and Vicki Leigh Soto.

I also pray for their parents, heal their broken heart.

Please keep the world away from danger and keep all children safe.

Amen.

Random Act of Kindness #6

Last night, before bedtime, I read a story to one of my big brothers. “You are Special” by Max Lucado is one of my favorite books. It talks about how every one of us is special. It doesn’t matter what other people think, each of us is special in our own way.

Have you read to someone lately?
